When you are employed at St George's Hospital you will belong to a progressive nursing/midwifery team where your professional expertise is highly valued. Our commitment to our patients is our priority and as a nurse or midwife you are empowered to identify your patient's needs and implement strategies and educate patient's to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
We have five state of the art Operating Theatres where a broad range of elective surgery is undertaken. A Recovery Ward is attached to our in-patient theatres.
Our Day Surgery Unit is a busy, purpose built unit with four operating theatres and a 17 bed Recovery Ward.
Our two 31 bed wards provide first class facilities for our patients. Each room is beautifully appointed with electric beds, individual air conditioning for each room, TV, Radio and computer access.
St George’s Hospital has a 6-bed Intensive Care Unit and 21-bed Cardiothoracic Ward
St George's Hospital has a long established tradition of caring for mothers and babies in a pleasant comfortable environment as a primary Maternity unit. In addition to deliveries, postnatal care and elective caesarean sections are also undertaken at St George's Hospital.
St George's Hospital Support Services employ staff in the following areas:
KITCHEN: Chef, Cooks and Kitchen Hands
LAUNDRY: Machine Operators and Laundry Assistants
HOUSEKEEPING: Cleaners
St George's Hospital employs a number of administration staff in Reception, Accounting, Administration and Clinical Records.
