Cancer Services

The St George’s Cancer Care Centre is a Joint Venture between St George’s Hospital and Christchurch Oncologists. We are the first private provider of cancer chemotherapy services in Christchurch.


We have built a $16.5 million state-of-the-art Cancer Care Centre on Leinster Road.  The Centre will provide a full cancer care service.

Radiation Oncologist Consultations:  Consultations with our two world class Radiation Oncologists, Chris Atkinson and Chris Wynne have commenced. 

Radiation Therapy:  This service using the latest linear accelerator technologies will be commencing following the completion of the new Cancer Care Centre in approximately late-March 2010.

Chemotherapy:  This service is now operating out of the new Cancer Care Centre located at 131 Leinster Road.
