CLINICAL -NURSING – MIDWIFERY- HOSPITAL AIDES

educate patient's to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

are employed on a collective employment agreement.
Main Inpatient Theatres
- We have four state of the art, newly commissioned Operating Theatres where a broad range of elective surgery is undertaken. Click to view theatre.
- Specialities include: Orthopaedic, general, vascular, colorectal, plastic, neurosurgical, ophthalmology, urology, gynaecology, Ear Nose and Throat.
- We also have a 12 bed newly commissioned Recovery Ward attached to our inpatient Theatres.
Day Surgery Unit
- Our Day Surgery Unit is a busy, modern, purpose built unit with three operating theatres and a 17 bed Recovery Ward.
- Specialities include: Orthopaedic, general, vascular, colorectal, plastic, neurosurgical, ophthalmology, urology, gynaecology, Ear Nose and Throat.

Surgical Wards
- Our two 32 bed newly commissioned wards provide first class facilities for our patients. Each room is beautifully appointed with electric beds, individual air conditioning for each room, TV, Radio and computer access.

Hospital Aides
- Hospital aides, have a vital role in supporting patient/client care at St. George's Hospital, in both the surgical wards and in the maternity unit.
- We employ both part-time and full-time hospital aides and have a casual pool for those available to provide relief for holiday and sick leave as well as assistance at times of heavy workload.
Maternity Unit
- St George's Hospital has a long established tradition of caring for mothers and babies in a pleasant comfortable environment as a primary maternity unit.
- In addition to deliveries, postnatal care and elective caesarean sections are also undertaken at St. George's Hospital.
