An oasis in the busy hospital

Delicious food combined with empathetic and efficient service are some of the key factors which make St Georgio’s Café popular among its customers.

The thriving onsite Hospital café at St George’s has been managed by the passionate Natascha Campos for over eight years. With customers ranging from patients and visitors to staff, the St Georgio’s team provides a place where everyone can relax and enjoy honest, wholesome food and great coffee.

“We try to create an oasis where people can forget about their stresses and challenges. It’s the perfect place to take a break and enjoy friendly and thoughtful service,” says Natascha.

The café works hard to accommodate individual dietary requirements including vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free and any other special requests.

“We listen to our customers and take on board their suggestions. Our customers are very busy, so we also have a pre-ordering system in place. You can preorder and pay in the morning, which means you can pick up later in the day, without having to wait in line when it’s busy”, Natascha says.

All staff are actively involved in menu planning. “Mitsy recently created a delicious pork and noodle dish that was well received by customers and Lydia’s apple and walnut cinnamon scrolls have become a Wednesday staple,” she says.

Located near the pharmacy, St Georgio’s Café is open from 7.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Come and enjoy the tasty food and excellent coffee.
