Celebrating a decade of visionary care: St George’s Eye Care marks 10 years in style
December 12, 2025
Christchurch, Friday 3 October 2025: More than 120 guests gathered to mark a significant milestone as St George’s Eye Care celebrated its 10-year anniversary. The specialist private ophthalmic practice, based within St George’s Hospital, has become a cornerstone of expert cataract and ophthalmic treatment in Christchurch and across the South Island.
Founded in 2015, St George’s Eye Care is led by Dr Paul Baddeley, an expert in cataracts, glaucoma and eyelid surgery, and Dr Oliver Comyn, who specialises in cataracts and both medical and surgical retina care. Together with their dedicated team, they have built a strong reputation for clinical excellence and personalised patient care.
“It has been an incredible journey,” said Dr Paul Baddeley. “This milestone is not only a celebration of our clinic, but of the people who have helped shape it – our colleagues, referrers and our patients. We are proud of the service we provide and the difference we have made in our community.”
Dr Oliver Comyn added, “Our work is built on collaboration, trust and continuous improvement and we are excited for what the next decade will bring.”
One message has stood out clearly. St George’s Eye Care is more than a clinic. It is a community of professionals dedicated to clarity of vision, excellence in care, and a future as bright as the eyes they help to heal.
Here’s to the next 10 years.
